TE 58 TWO STATION PRESSURIZED WEAR TEST MACHINE

Keywords:

Description:

The TE 58 Two Station Pressurized Wear Test Machine is a development based the standard TE 77 High Frequency Friction Machine and the TE 57 Pressurized Lubricity Tester. It incorporates two pressurized test enclosures with moving parts sealed by stainless steel bellows. Load is applied manually by means of dead weights applied directly to the fixed ball specimen carrier and contained within the sealed test chamber. The test load is thus set at the beginning of the test and before the chamber is pressurized. The complete test assembly may be removed from the test machine for cleaning purposes.

Machine controls are limited to speed control of the drive motor to give the required frequency, temperature control of the internal specimen bath and test duration. Test data is limited to post test wear scar measurement only and no facilities are provided for friction force measurement.
