This is an automatic cycling volumetric fuel gauge, available in three dual capacity volumes of 50/100, 100/200 and 200/400 ml. The measuring element consists of a cylindrical tube with a central support carrying three spacers. These are positioned so that a measured volume of fuel is contained between successive spacers. Optical level sensors are mounted in the cylinder adjacent to the spacers to detect the presence or otherwise of liquid.
The gauge is completely self contained, requiring only a 220/110 volt, 50 Hz supply. The time to consume the measured volume is displayed at the end of each measuring cycle. All fuel connectors are 10 mm/3/8" BSP.
The gauge is designed for long term unattended operation. The 0 to 10 volt analogue output has a resolution of +/- 0.05 seconds which remains valid until the completion of each successive measurement when it is updated to the new value of consumption time.
1. Gauge fills from supply tank.
2. Filling valve closes when fuel reaches upper sensor level.
3. Measuring phase until fuel reaches selected lower sensor level.
4. Gauge fills again.
Remote Electrical Outputs:
0 to 10 volt analogue voltage corresponding to 0 to 200 second consumption time
Digital counter output for use with remote timers
Digital measure/fill outputs
Digital reset input
Reset button to abort the current measurement, refill the gauge and start a new measurement
Calibration switches for the 0 to 10 volt analogue output
Selection switch for 100% or 50% measured volume
LED display of consumption time in seconds
